Our client contacted us while in the process of purchasing this beautiful log home in Central Alberta. He was relocating from another province and wanted to give the house an overall update giving extra love to the main bathroom. Although spacious, it didn’t have anything in common with the rest of the house.
The home is situated in an area with gorgeous trees and lots of privacy. We knew we wanted to take advantage of the view and use natural materials to make it feel like it belonged. Our client has a love for yoga and eastern cultures, so we wanted to incorporate the zen feel of modern Thai architecture, but keeping it true to the Albertan surroundings. Using materials like slate, mango wood and leathered granite created an earthiness with lots of texture, while we kept the lines simple for that unfussy modern zen feel.
