On Trade Day, Step 3 of our Project Management Process, we have scheduled meetings with all trades that we anticipate being involved in your project. At that meeting we do a thorough walk through, discussing the scope of work with them, so that they have a good understanding of the space they will be working in. This way they are able to give us an informed quote which they can stand by. It’s also an opportunity to identify issues we may run into during the project, or together come up with design solutions.
The design team will also carefully document the space(s)by taking all required measurements, notes and photographs.
We believe that by putting in the time and effort to be detail oriented in the design phase, we can more accurately budget and set ourselves up for a smoother construction phase with less surprises.
Both the SBD design team and trade team are finding Trade Day an invaluable meeting that we no longer could do without. Our clients don’t need to attend, but often they find it interesting and enjoy meeting the whole team before construction starts.
